Partisan and corporate politics have rotted away the strength of the People of the World to hold their governments accountable. Partisan politics are the creation of men and women whose only means of maintaining power is by creating fear and doubt through manipulation. They are incapable of standing on the merits of their service, so they hide behind being clever.

The health of the planet and the certainty of human civilization is breaking and fragile. It will take a combination of economic conservatism, empathetic policies, sustainable living and the end of war to shift the planet back in to a balance. Partisan politics cannot step up to such a task. It takes courage, transparency and conviction.

Neither Barack Obama nor Ron Paul have built careers sucking on the pork barrel of corrupt government. They have mobilized massive movements of citizens committed to change, equity and peace. They believe in the value of coalition problem solving. They understand the importance of local stability and investment in our communities.

If they combine their respective grass roots movements, they will easily secure the White House and make sure the broadest coalition of Americans are represented. That is what democracy is all about, right?
